Aegon II was the sixth Targaryen monarch to sit the Żelazny Tron, succeeding his father, Viserys I.

Appearance

According to a semi-canon source, Aegon II resembled his father in appearance, though not in personality. He had only a wispy mustache and a sullen look to his face. He wore the crown of Aegon the Conqueror.[1]

History

His father had intended Aegon's older sister Rhaenyra to sit the Iron throne, but Criston Cole, Lord Commander of the Gwardia Królewska, chose Aegon to take the throne instead. Rhaenyra disputed his ascension, which lead to the war known as the Taniec Smoków. Aegon managed to defeat his sister, and fed her to his smok.[2] Shortly thereafter he died himself, leaving no male heirs, which lead to his nephew Aegon III (Rhaenyra's son) taking the throne.
